-I held out hope until Monday afternoon that I’d complete my quest. While I was out on Saturday I met someone who hinted that something was possible but there really wasn’t any chemistry.
-I did manage to get a sunburn yesterday after spending a little too much time out in the sun in Central Park. My skin stings a bit but it’s also a bit warm. It reminds me of how it feels after took someone a flogger to my back for almost an hour straight. It’s a good kinda pain in a way. At least now I know how to get the residual feeling of tender loving abuse.
-I really need to stop looking for it. I need to stop trying so hard. It’s goes against the way I was raised: If you put hard work into something it will pay off. In this case, you get the same result by doing nothing.
-I’ve been thinking about her quiet a bit. I hope I get to see her again soon. I’ll sometimes walk down the street just hoping our paths will cross, hoping she’ll turn the corner and smile at me.
-I have some vanilla friends visiting from out of town this weekend so it’s doubtful that I’ll make it to SMACK. I’m hoping they go to bed early Saturday night so I can still sneak out.
-I’ve officially sworn off craigslist (again).
-I did manage to see the new Indiana Jones movie. My review? It’s better than not having a new Indiana Jones movie. There were a few times I was rolling my eyes. Still, it was better than nothing.

Speaking of craigslist, did you see this?
Rona: Funny stuff. Notice how one reader responded to his ad by saying the best way was to pay for it?
Time for me to cash in that 401k!
I just read that CL blog entry and it was very interesting. Pure morbid curiosity drives me to look through some of those ads every week or so. Amazing what people write there. I’ve only corresponded twice in the last year for fun; it’s scary how quickly a man will hand over his name, photo, phone number and address!!!

Sorry your quest did not come to fruition. 🙁 I agree with you about CL and swore off the relationship ads myself sometime ago. It simply isn’t very useful for that although I have found some great stuff to buy so I suppose it hasn’t been entirely useless. The link provided by Rona was priceless and much appreciated.

It doesn’t pay to spend too much energy looking: you cross paths with the right person whenever it happens. Maybe you need a distraction of some kind?
And don’t think women have it super easy. It’s a “water, water everywhere but not a drop to drink” situation sometimes! A girl can get mighty parched between meetings with suitable men. 😉
I think the action of “looking” can be one of the most tiring. It can be truly all-consuming. Which is why I sort of gave it up for a few months. Coming back to the whole dating scene, after a bit of abstinence and alone time, has me pretty invigorated and hopeful. And time off has proved more fruitful than putting up a zillion ads and going to a zillion bars. Like even now, on a night where I kinda want to get some but am not getting any, I’m still hopeful. For now. I might get frustrated again soon. At which point I’ll say okay, chill out, Janie. But there’s something really sort of healing in just giving yourself a break and being horny and jerking off and not worrying about finding someone.
You should move. Lots of hot kinky people in the south . New York is not the only city in the world . And the south has much better weather . Sorry , I’m just tryin to get my hads on you .
